Theft

800 Greenleaf

A 12-year-old student at Nichols Middle School reported that his viola, left unattended in the school’s music room, was stolen  between Oct.  2 and Oct. 3.

1600 Benson

A bicycle secured to a bike rack was stolen in the 1600 block of Benson Avenue between 7:30 a.m. Tuesday and 2 p.m. yesterday.

1600 Sherman

A purse was stolen from an unlocked locker at a health club in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 2:20 p.m. and 3:17 p.m. yesterday.

Drugs

1524 Dempster

Martha Young-Andrews, 62, of 1703 Madison St., was arrested at 1524 Dempster St. at 10:20 p.m. yesterday and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
