Evanston health officials reported no new COVID-19 cases among city residents today leaving the case count at 809 and no new deaths leaving the death toll at 70.

Chicago reported 300 more cases for a total of 54,344 and seven additional deaths for a total of 2,657.

Across Illinois there were 1,018 new cases of COVID-19 for a total of 150,450 and 20 more deaths for a total of 7,119.

The new case counts for Chicago and Illinois today were the highest in more than a month.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported results of tests on 36,180 people today with a positive rate of 2.8%, a bit higher than the seven-day average rate of 2.6%

The IDPH reported test results for 215 Evanston residents today.
