Evanston health officials reported no new COVID-19 cases today and no additional deaths from the disease.
That leaves the total case count at 754 and the number of deaths at 62. The city officials also said that there are only 26 active cases of the disease in Evanston, down from 61 on Sunday.
The Illinois Department of Public Heatlh reported results of tests of 125 more Evanston residents for the disease today and found no new cases. A total of 7,164 Evanston residents have now been tested for the coronavirus, or more than 9.5% of the city’s population.
Chicago reported 154 new COVID-19 cases today for a total of 49,603 and 15 more deaths for a total of 2,399.
Statewide an additional 473 cases were reported today for a total of 133,016 and there were 18 more deaths, for a total of 6,326.
The IDPH reported results of 18,627 tests today with a positive rate of 2.5%. The seven-day average positive rate in Illinois is now 3.1%, down from 25.9% a month ago.
All four regions of the state continue to be on track to meet the metrics required to move to the next phase of the Restore Illinois plan late this month.
