The Evanston Arts Council and the city are seeking candidates for the 2015 Mayor’s Award for the Arts, and the October 9 deadline for receipt of nominations is fast approaching.

The award recognizes individuals and/or organizations who have demonstrated excellence in artistic expression, performance, service or advocacy throughout the past year.

All nominees are reviewed by the Evanston Arts Council members, and finalists are sent to Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl for selection. Awards will be presented to one individual and one organization at the 2015 Bright Night for the Arts on November 5.

Nominations should be submitted on the form that is available on the city’s website.
