The Cook County Board of Review started accepting property tax assessment appeal complaints from Evanston homeowners today.

The appeal period continues through Feb. 10.

If you’re interested in filing an appeal, you can get free help from the Evanston Township Assessor’s office or from Cook county Commissioner Larry Suffredin.

To make an appointment, call the assessor’s office at 847-332-2465 or Suffredin’s office at 847-864-1209.

  1. Cook County Board of Review appeals

    The Evanston Township Assessor’s office is open from 8:30 am to 5 pm  Monday through Friday.  Monday January 17, 2011 we are closed for the Martin Luther King Day holiday.  We are also taking appointments for Saturday January 29th and Saturday February 5th from 9;00 am to 1 pm to accomodate taxpayers who cannot come to the office during the week. Call (847) 332-2465 for an appointment.
