New dance works created and designed by the NU Group — a collaboration of Northwestern University alumni artists — will be performed on campus this month.

Open to the public and produced by the University’s dance program, the performances, at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30, will be held in the Ballroom Theater of the Marjorie Ward Marshall Dance Center, 10 Arts Circle Drive.

The concerts spotlight the increasing presence of Northwestern alumni in local and global dance communities.

Intelligent, theatrical, intricate and athletic, works by the NU Group will showcase the scope of the growth and influence of the alumni artists in the professional world of dance.

Featured Northwestern alumni include Julia Rhoads and Meghann Wilkinson of Lucky Plush Productions, Peter Carpenter, Annie Beserra of Striding Lion Performance Group, Adam Gauzza of Same Planet Different World Dance Theatre, Michala Stock of the New York dance company Eyes of a Blue Dog Dance Theater, and Genevieve Garcia and Jeff Hancock.

Tickets for each performance are priced from $12 to $20 and may be purchased online at Brown Paper Tickets.
