NU Splash! will offer high school students an unconventional educational experience at Northwestern University Saturday.

Organizers say it will let the high school students take short courses in fascinating subjects that wouldn’t be covered in their regular school curriculum, while Northwestern students become the teachers — designing their own courses on whatever subject they choose, from nanomaterials to origami to sign language.

High school students choose their classes for the day, learning from some of Northwestern’s brightest and most creative undergraduates and grad students.

High school students interested in the program can sign up online. The registration deadline is Wednesday, March 30.
