Offender signs for package, then steals it

An unknown offender signed for, then stole, a package containing a Dell laptop computer that was delivered to an apartment common area in the 2200 block of Sherman Avenue. This among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Theft

2200 Sherman

A package containing a Dell laptop computer, delivered to an apartment common area in the 2200 block of Sherman Avenue, was signed for by someone who apparently stole it, around 2 p.m. yesterday.

Traffic

3333 Central

Jesse F. Marentes, 26, of 10221 W. Chestnut, Franklin Park, was arrested at 3333 Central St. at 7:37 p.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on June 15 at 10:30 a.m.

1800 Sherman

Karee A. Trapp, 38, of 8042 Knox Ave., Skokie, was arrested at 1800 Sherman Ave. at 10:11 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on June 5 at 1:30 p.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
