Evanston police say five people were shot about 7:15 p.m. Sunday at the Mobil gas station in the 1900 block of Green Bay Road, and one of the victims has died.
Police Cmdr. Ryan Glew says the other victims have been transported to area hospitals by Evanston Fire Department ambulances.
Four of the victims were found at the gas station, Glew says, while the fifth was located a few doors away at 1918 Asbury Ave.
Glew says no suspects are in custody, but the initial investigation does not indicate any further danger to the public.
