The City of Evanston Division of Transportation (EDOT) invites community members to attend pre-construction open houses for the Ridge Avenue improvement project.

Open houses are scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, in the Parasol Room of the Evanston Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., and Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Howard Street Police Outpost, 633 Howard St.

At these events, community members will receive information regarding the proposed improvement, meet the construction team, and review the project staging with the detour plan. Representatives from EDOT and the city’s consultant team will be available for questions and discussion.

The project, scheduled to begin March 10, weather permitting, entails the rehabilitation of Ridge Avenue from Howard Street to Clark Street and includes roadway resurfacing with base repairs, reconstruction of concrete curbs and the installation of a storm relief sewer. This project is scheduled to be completed by year end.

For more information, contact John Burke, director of EDOT, (847) 866-2966.
