The Northwestern-DePaul men’s basketball game, scheduled for Saturday in Evanston, has been canceled due to an outbreak of COVID-19 on the DePaul squad.

Northwestern Director of Athletics Derrick Gragg mentioned the cancellation during a virtual 7th Ward meeting Thursday night.

The game will not be rescheduled.

The NU basketball twitter feed says, “We will evaluate all potential options for a replacement opponent and updates will be communicated if/when available.

The latest nationwide increase in COVID is forcing cancellations of several sporting events, including the Ohio State-Kentucky basketball also scheduled for Saturday.
