Packages delivered to residences in the 1100 block of Church Street and the 1800 block of Dodge Avenue were reported stolen yesterday morning. These among the stories in today’s daily crime report from Evanston police.


1100 Church

A package containing miscellaneous merchandise and electronics that was delivered to an apartment common area in the 1100 block of Church Street was stolen sometime before 11:06 a.m. yesterday.

1800 Dodge

A package containing collectibles, documents, and an appliance that was delivered to a home in the 1800 block of Dodge Avenue was stolen sometime before 11:51 a.m. yesterday.


2400 Park

A bicycle was stolen from the unlocked garage of a home in the 2400 block of Park Place between Oct. 25 and Nov. 4.


7519 Paulina

Jacob B. Johnson, 25, of 12412 S. Wentworth Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 7519 N. Paulina Ave., Chicago, at 6:56 p.m. yesterday and charged with disorderly conduct and breach of the peace. A court date has been set for Feb. 20 at 10:30 a.m.

1454 Elmwood

Ari Yonatan Wartell, 29, of 2900 N. Damen Ave., Chicago, was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 4 p.m. Monday and charged with battery and physical contact with an 8-year-old child of an insulting or provoking nature.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
