A package delivered to a home in the 1000 block of Dempster Street was stolen, and an unlocked Subaru was burglarized in the 2300 block of Brown Avenue. These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.


1000 Dempster

A package containing food items that had been delivered to a home in the 1000 block of Dempster Street was reported stolen between 1:54 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. yesterday.

2100 Dempster

A 2019 Ford rental car that was not returned on time was reported stolen at 3:41 p.m. yesterday.


2300 Brown

Cash was taken from an unlocked 2019 Subaru in the 2300 block of Brown Avenue between 5 p.m. Monday and 9:20 a.m. yesterday.


803 Seward

Benjamin Sheja, 34, of 803 Seward St., was arrested at that address at 8:24 p.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
