Packages were stolen from an apartment common area on Oak and single family yards on Ashland and Darrow. Items were also stolen from Walgreens on Green Bay Road in two separate instances. These are among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Battery

1411 Florence
Nolan D. Mason, 38, 1802 Lake St., was arrested at 1411 Florence Ave. at 1:07 p.m. Monday and charged with battery. He is scheduled to appear in court at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 27. He was also charged with failure to register as a sex offender.

1454 Elmwood
Herman Townsell, 51, of no known address, was arrested at the police station at 1454 Elmwood Ave. at 2:15 p.m. Friday and charged with battery. He is scheduled to appear in court at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 10.

Burglary

2000 Washington
Miscellaneous items were stolen from an unlocked 2013 Honda parked on the street in the 2000 block of Washington Street between 9:30 p.m. Monday and 8:45 a.m. Tuesday.

700 Brown
Someone entered an unlocked 1999 Ford parked on the street in the 700 block of Brown Avenue between 5:10 p.m. Monday and 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Drugs

217 Hartrey
Darius A. Newman, 20, 217 Hartrey Ave., was arrested at that address at 6:37 p.m. Monday and charged with manufacture or delivery of cannabis.

1109 Darrow
Kahlil A. Travis, 20, 1109 Darrow Ave., was arrested at 4 p.m. Tuesday at that address and charged with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Ridge and Washington
Augustin K. Tronou, 23, 7420 N. Winchester Ave. in Chicago, was arrested at Ridge Avenue and Washington Street at 5 p.m. Tuesday and was charged with possession of cannabis. He is scheduled to appear in court at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 5.

Theft

800 Church
A bicycle locked to a bike rack was stolen from the 800 block of Church Street at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday.

1600 Dodge
A locked bicycle was stolen from the grounds of Evanston Township High School in the 1600 block of Dodge Avenue between 8 and 10:30 a.m. Monday.

1600 Ashland
A garbage/recycling can that had been delivered to the yard of a single family house in the 1600 block of Ashland Avenue was stolen at 1:38 p.m. Tuesday.  

1700 Oak
Merchandise that had been delivered to an apartment building common area in the 1700 block of Oak Avenue was stolen at 8:50 p.m. Oct. 5.

2100 Green Bay
Medicine was stolen from Walgreens pharmacy in the 2100 block of Green Bay Road between 6:40 and 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.

1700 Darrow
Baby products that had been delivered to a single family home in the 1700 block of Darrow Avenue were stolen at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday.

2100 Green Bay
Vaping cartridges were stolen from Walgreens pharmacy in the 2100 block of Green Bay Road at 9:34 p.m. Tuesday.


Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
