A parking barnacle, a device placed on cars that are illegally parked, was ripped off a 2016 Ford on McDaniel Avenue. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

1600 McDaniel

A parking barnacle is a new tool used by Parking Enforcement in place of a Boot on cars that are illegally parked. One was ripped off the windshield of a 2016 Ford in the 1600 block of McDaniel Avenue between 11:05 a.m. and 12:52 p.m. yesterday.

900 Asbury

Someone shattered the window of a 2017 Subaru in the 900 block of Asbury Avenue between 5:50 p.m. Sunday and 10:30 a.m. yesterday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
