A large crowed of Eamon Kelly supporters partied in the upstairs room at the Firehouse Grill on Chicago Avenue as they waited for results.

By 8:40 p.m. this evening Robyn Gabel had moved into the lead in the 18th District state house race. With 36 of 82 precincts reporting the Cook County Clerk’s reported her with with 30 percent of the vote, to 25 percent for Eamon Kelly and just under 25 percent for Patrick Keenan-Devlin.

Jeff Smith had 11 percent and Edmund Moran had 9 percent.

With five of the nine Chicago precincts in the district reporting Gabel had 35 percent of the vote there to 22 percent for Kelly and 18 percent for Keenan-Devlin.

Smith had 17 percent and Moran 7 percent in the Chicago precincts.
