Peaceable Cities is offering funding for Evanston residents to support ideas about how to make the city’s neighborhoods safer.

Many Evanstonians, the group’s leaders say, are concerned about the safety in their neighborhoods forthemselves, their families, and their neighbors.  They have good ideas aboutwhat could be done to make a difference, but they may lack resources.

The new Safer Stronger Neighborhoods initiative offers support for residents’ plans and ideas about how to make their neighborhoods places for healthy choices and creative opportunities for all who live there.

More information and application forms are available online. The next application deadline in Feb. 1. Evanston Township High School students and student groups are welcome to apply.
