Theft

1100 Davis

A pickpocket removed a purse from a patron’s back bag at about 12:30 p.m. yesterday at the main Evanston Post Office in the 1100 block of Davis Street.

1000 Grove

Someone damaged a lock and stole a wallet out of a locker at the McGaw YMCA in the 1000 block of Grove Street between 5:50 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. yesterday.

1100 Chicago

An alcoholic product was taken from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue around 7 p.m. yesterday.

1600 Dodge

A wallet was removed from an unsecured locker at Evanston Township High School around 10 p.m. Friday.

800 Foster

A cell phone left unattended was taken from a nursing home in the 800 block of Foster Street between 6:50 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. yesterday.

1700 Chicago

Items that included a bag, a laptop computer, and miscellaneous merchandise that was left unattended on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of Chicago Avenue was stolen shortly before 1 a.m. today.

Other

Emerson at Grey

Police received a report of a man with a gun near Emerson Street and Grey Avenue at 6:37 p.m. yesterday. They checked the area but found no man with a gun.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
