A 19-year-old woman lost her wallet when a pickpocket stole it from a jacket hanging on a chair in a restaurant. This among stories in today’s daily crime report from Evanston police.
THEFT
1000 Davis
A 19-year-old Highland Park woman lost her wallet to a pickpocket, who lifted it from a jacket hanging on a chair in the Taco Diablo Restaurant in the 1000 block of Davis Street between 7:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Saturday. The wallet was found later by a citizen and returned to the victim.

1600 Sherman
A pair of gloves was stolen from the Gearhead Outfitter store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue around 12:15 p.m. Saturday.

3200 Harrison
A gray 2020 Jeep Cherokee was stolen by unknown means from the 3200 block of Harrison Street between 8 p.m. Sunday and 7:41 a.m. Monday.

2800 Central
Copper wiring was stolen from the Little Green Tree House preschool in the 2800 block of Central Street between noon on Jan. 16 and 8 a.m. Thursday.

1900 Sherman
A Rodeo Labs bicycle was stolen from the 1900 block of Sherman Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

100 Chicago
Food items were taken from the Mobil gas station in the 100 block of Chicago Avenue at about 11:20 p.m. Friday.

BATTERY
1617 Simpson
Cornelius H. Jones, 21, of 1617 Simpson St., was arrested at that address at 12:50 a.m. Monday and charged with domestic battery.

BURGLARY
1100 Chicago
A wallet was stolen from an unlocked 2008 Honda in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue between 7 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. Thursday.

100 Callan
A burglar used a pry tool in an unsuccessful attempt to enter a residence in the 100 block of Callan Avenue between 4:45 a.m. and 5:46 a.m. Sunday.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Dempster at Forest
A passenger side window and a mirror were broken on a 2011 Honda at Dempster Street and Forest Avenue between 6 p.m. Thursday and 1:30 p.m. Friday.

DRUGS
200 Hartrey
Ali Resendiz, 19, of 1328 Dobson St., was arrested at 200 Hartrey Ave. at 9:38 p.m. Friday and charged with possession of cannabis.

GRAFFITI
1900 Green Bay
Graffiti was discovered in the 1900 block of Green Bay Road at 2:41 p.m. Friday.

1900 Brown
Graffiti was discovered  on residential fencing in the 1900 block of Brown Avenue at 10:30 a.m. Friday.

1800 Hartrey
Graffiti was discovered on fencing and a garage in the 1800 block of Hartrey Avenue at noon on Thursday.

1900 Grey
Graffiti was discovered at noon Friday on a residential garage in the 1900 block of Grey Avenue.

SHOTS HEARD
1800 Darrow
Gunshots were reported in the 1800 block of Darrow Avenue at 8:32 p.m. Friday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

1800 Hovland
Gunshots were reported in the 1800 block of Hovland Court at 8:52 p.m. Saturday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

TRAFFIC
Emerson at Ashland
Nicholas Kasprzak, 56, of 1028 Garnett Place, was arrested at Emerson Street and Ashland Avenue at 8:57 p.m. Sunday and charged with a traffic violation.

711 Elgin
Azan Rehman, 21, of 8550 Niles Center Road, Skokie, was arrested at 711 Elgin Road at 8:05 p.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation.
