THEFT

1100 Hartrey

A nine-month-old pit bull puppy belonging to a 27-year-old woman was taken from a cage outside the front door of an apartment building in the 1100 block of Hartrey Avenue between 9:30 and 10 p.m. Tuesday.

800 Seward

A black road bicycle that was secured in a common storage area of a garage in the 800 block of Seward Street was taken between 2 p.m. Monday and 2 p.m. Tuesday.

600 Chicago

Medication was stolen from the Walgreens Pharmacy in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue at about 12:10 p.m. yesterday.

500 Main

An unattended notebook was taken from a store in the 500 block of Main Street between 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. yesterday.

1600 Sherman

A wallet was taken from a parking lot in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue while the owner was shopping around 6 p.m. yesterday.

1100 Chicago

Alcoholic products were stolen from a store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at about 11:40 a.m. yesterday.

2000 Greenleaf

Gasoline was reported stolen from a gas station in the 2000 block of Greenleaf Street at about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.

3000 Central

An unsecured gray and orange Huffy bicycle was taken from the parkway of the 3000 block of Central Street between 2:50 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

BATTERY

1454 Elmwood

Neri Velasquez, 40, of 4442 W. Montrose Ave., Chicago, was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 11:35 a.m. yesterday and charged with battery.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

1600 Judson

A patio umbrella was damaged in the yard of a home in the 1600 block of Judson Avenue at about 6:20 a.m. Wednesday.

Ridge at Lincoln

The drive of a vehicle reportedly threw a can at a 2017 Ford near Ridge Avenue and Lincoln Street at about 2:18 p.m. Tuesday.

1600 Emerson

The rear windshield was broken on a 2015 Audi in the 1600 block of Emerson Street between 6:50 a.m. and 3:57 p.m. Wednesday.

1900 Jackson

Someone broke windows of a vacant home in the 1900 block of Jackson Avenue around 4 p.m. yesterday.

DRUGS

1959 Howard

Irwin I. Jimenez, 19, of 7445 N. Seeley Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1959 W. Howard St., Chicago, at 7:39 p.m. Wednesday on a cannabis charge.

SHOTS HEARD

Foster at Jackson

Gunshots were reported at Foster Street and Jackson Avenue at 10:10 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

800 Hinman

Gunshots were reported in the 800 block of Hinman Avenue at about 10:35 p.m. Wednesday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

TRAFFIC

355 Ridge

Dameon T. Sanders, 41, of 1423 Darrow Ave., was arrested at 355 Ridge Ave. at 1:04 p.m. Monday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Sept. 17 at 1:30 p.m.
