Pizza delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint late Thursday when he tried to deliver two pizzas to an address in the 2100 block of Seward Street on Evanston’s southwest side.
Police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan says when the driver knocked on the door about 11 p.m., the homeowner denied placing an order. As the driver walked back to his car, an unknown subject yelled out to him, and when victim turned his attention to the voice, a second man wearing hoodie put a black handgun in the driver’s face and took about $235 in cash and both pizzas.
The robber and his accomplice fled south on foot.
