Evanston police say a delivery driver for a pizza shop was robbed Tuesday night in the 100 block of Callan Avenue.

The driver told police he found no doorbell when he arrived at the building to make a delivery, so he called the customer. Then two men approached from a gangway beside the building and one showed a gun. They fled after taking the delivery man’s wallet and cell phone.

The driver told police he found no doorbell when he arrived at the building to make a delivery, so he called the customer. Then two men approached from a gangway beside the building and one showed a gun. They fled after taking the delivery man’s wallet and cell phone.

The suspects are described as thin black males, between 20 and 30 years old and under six feet tall. One was wearing a balck Pittsburgh Pirates jacket. The other wore a brown jacket.

About six months ago on a Tuesday evening another pizza delivery man was robbed and carjacked about a block away. That case is still working its way through the courts.
