Evanston public works crews are clearing residential streets this morning after a light overnight snowfall.

James Maiworm, the city’s infrastructure maintenance maven, says about 1.5 inches of snow fell overnight and main roads and secondary streets have already been cleared.

Crews now are also working on sidewalks around public buildings and city parking lots. Any additional snow today is not expected to result in significant accumulation.

No parking restrictions will be imposed following this storm, Maiworm says.
