With snow flurries falling in Evanston, the city’s snow plows hit the streets this morning, spreading salt in anticipation of a possible four to eight inches of snow falling by daybreak Friday.
The National Weather Service is predicting one to three inches of snow across the Chicago area today, with an additional three to five inches falling overnight.
It’s the first significant snowfall to hit the area this season, and it’s expected to be followed by high winds, with gusts up to 30 miles an hour on Friday, along with low temperatures around 12 degrees Friday night.
