Evanston police are asking the public’s help in locating a missing child.

Police say the 10-year-old youth, Tristan Wilcox, was ast seen wearing a burgundy short sleeved shirt, khaki shorts, blue Nike’s with yellow accent and a grey/black/red backpack.

Police Cmdr. Ryan Glew says the youth is not believed to be in danger but apparently ran away from his home at 2138 Dewey Ave. shortly before 1 p.m. today after a dispute with family members.

Anyone with information is asked to call Evanston Police at 847-866-5000.


Update 7:25 p.m.: Police now say the missing child has been located and is being returned to his family.
