Evanston police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a burglary at a condominium in the 1500 block of Hinman Avenue about 2 p.m. last Friday afternoon.

The victim told police the thief stole jewelry along with sterling silver silverware and a light blue backpack. The total value of the items stolen is estimated at $30,000.

Police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan says an individual shown on surveillance video at the location is believed to be the burglar.

Anyone with information on the identity of the person in the photos is asked to call the Evanston Police Department detective division at 847-866-5040.

Information can also be given anonymously using Text-A-Tip by texting the information to CRIMES (274637) and entering EPDTIP in the message line with the information.
