Police say they caught a burglar in the act in south Evanston this morning

When police went into the house to investigate, Parrott says, they found a woman holding items she’d taken from the home, questionned her and took her into custody.

Ashanti D. Clark, 28, of the 6000 block of S. Stony Island Avenue in chicago now faces one felony count of residential burglary.

She’s scheduled to appear in Skokie district court at 9 a.m. July 20.
