An estimated 157 ComEd customers on Evanston’s west side lost electric power during Friday night’s thunderstorm, and company officials estimate it may take until 8 p.m. tonight to restore their service.

The customers affected are north of Emerson Street and west of Dodge Avenue according to information the untility supplied to city officials.

The storm apparently caused a lot more problems just to the west of us in Skokie. There ComEd is reporting dozens of outages affecting more than 2,000 customers with some of those problems not expected to be repaired until Sunday.
