Program offers electronics recycling

The Center for Independent Futures and Recycling Avenue are sponsoring a small electronics recycling drive in Evanston from now through Feb. 1.

A drop off box is located at the center’s office, 743 Main St., and is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The program accepts retired cell phones, house phones, laptops, any cameras, camcorders, ink and toner cartridges, MP3 players, older devices like Palm Pilots, small electronic accessories like modems and routers. Working or not. It does not handle desktop computers or other large electronic devices.
