Theft

1100 Hartrey

A rear tire was stolen form a 2005 Chrysler in an apartment parking space in the 1100 block of Hartrey Avenue between 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and  7 a.m. yesterday.

1500 Ridge

A cell phone left unattended at a religious institution in the 1500 block of Ridge Avenue was stolen between 6:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Battery

534 Sheridan

Benjamin Ryan Cavil, 41, of 534 Sheridan Road, was arrested at that address at 2:49 p.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on July 11 at 9:30 a.m.

Criminal Damage

2000 Darrow

Somone dented the hood of a 2002 Honda in the 2000 block of Darrow Avenue around 2:05 a.m. Wednesday.

Criminal Trespass

101 Asbury

William J. Kelly, 52, of 7433 N. Clark St., Chicago, was arrested at 101 Asbury Ave. at 4:25 p.m. yesterday and charged with criminal trespass of real property. He is due in court on Aug. 2 at 9 a.m.

Traffic

2421 Dempster

Dorval L. Reed, 40, of 7401 N. Ridge Blvd., Chicago, was arrested at 2421 Dempster St. at 3:24 a.m. today and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on July 26 at 9 a.m.

635 Chicago

Cecil G. Walford, 63, of 2002 Emerson St., was arrested at 635 Chicago Ave. at 3:39 a.m. today and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Aug. 23 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
