A Cook County grand jury has indicted the driver of the car involved in a fatal rollover accident in Evanston last month on a charge of reckless homicide.

The grand jury also indicted Monica Wallace, 42, of 1422 Brown Ave., on a felony charge of aggravated driving under the influence — in the early morning crash on Sunday, Sept. 27, that killed her passenger, Lamart Bailey, 45, of Evanston.

Wallace also faces four traffic citations — for disobeying a red light, driving in the wrong lane, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failing to have insurance.

The car, which was heading northbound on Dodge hit several parked cars before rolling over near the intersection with Lyons Street.

The indictment against Wallace was issued Wednesday.
