After co-sponsoring a bill to create the group, State Rep. Jennifer Gong-Gershowitz, D-Glenview, has been named to the new state Property Task Relief Task Force.
Continuously rising property taxes put a financial strain on families and seniors, Gong-Gershowitz says, and “It is imperative that we find comprehensive solutions to alleviate the property tax burden while ensuring that we maintain excellent schools, parks and senior services.”
Gong-Gershowitz, whose district includes portions of Evanston, added, “I look forward to working with my colleagues to find solutions to address the anxieties families and seniors face as they try to make ends meet.”
