local-news-initiative

Do you read local news? If so, would you be willing to talk with a Northwestern graduate student about you and news?

Students from a Northwestern University research methods class are doing a research project this quarter for the Local News Initiative, an organization trying to understand and strengthen local news organizations.

Students are looking for a diverse group of local news consumers of all types (be it radio, newspaper, online, message boards) to spend about an hour chatting with them about their lives more generally and the news specifically within it.

All interviews will be kept confidential; your name won’t be used.

If you are willing to help, just fill out this form. The students will reach out in a few weeks to find a time and location convenient for you in early May.
