Robber grabs wallet at Chicago and Lake

A victim’s wallet was taken in a robbery last night at Chicago Avenue and Lake Street. This among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Robbery

Chicago at Lake

A robber removed a wallet from his victim last night around 11 p.m. in an alley at Chicago Avenue and Lake Street.

Battery

1700 Payne

Two men were shot near Payne Street and Dewey Avenue at 12:31 p.m. Friday.  

901 Maple

Samuel Douglas Robinson, 39, of 901 Maple Ave., was arrested at that address at 7:15 p.m. Saturday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on Nov. 6 at 9:30 a.m.

Burglary

900 Chicago

A purse was taken from a 2013 BMW in an apartment parking space in the 900 block of Chicago Avenue between 9 p.m. Friday and 10:15 a.m. Saturday.

1400 Oak

Someone stole a bicycle by breaking a padlock that was securing it in an apartment storage area in the 1400 block of Oak Avenue between 6 p.m. Thursday and 12:35 p.m. Friday.

1700 Dodge

Cash and tools were taken from an unlocked 2004 Chevrolet in the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue between 5:30 a.m. and 3:19 p.m. Saturday.

231 Richmond

Diego Campos, 36, of 231 Richmond Ave., was arrested at that address at 12:30 p.m. Thursday and charged with failure to register as a child sex offender.

Theft

800 Dodge

Someone took food from a convenience store in the 800 block of Dodge Avenue between 8:39 p.m. Thursday and 3:03 p.m. Friday.

900 Davis

A bicycle secured to a bike rack in the 900 block of Davis Street was stolen between 3:45  p.m. Friday and 10:20 a.m. Saturday.

1000 Forest

A five-foot ladder was taken from the yard of a home in the 1000 block of Forest Avenue around 3:15 p.m. Friday.

1600 Chicago

Alcoholic products were taken from a store in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue around 6:21 p.m. Saturday.

1200 Maple

An unlocked bicycle was taken from the yard of a home in the 1200 block of Maple Avenue around 11 a.m. yesterday.

1600 Sherman

A cell phone was taken from a retail establishment in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue around 11:30 a.m. yesterday.

Lake at Grey

A bicycle was stolen from a sidewalk near Lake Street and Grey Avenue between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday.

300 Ridge

A purse was removed from a drawer at an office at St. Francis Hospital in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue between 2:45 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. Friday.

100 Asbury

Cosmetics were taken from CVS Pharmacy in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue around 12:20 p.m. Saturday.

Traffic

707 Ridge

Mohammad H. Abumoghli, 31, of 1516 W. Touhy Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 707 Ridge Ave. at 7:07 p.m. on Oct. 21 and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Nov. 18 at 9 a.m.

809 Dempster

Alicia Arroyo, 39, of 2627 N. Kedzie Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 809 Dempster St. at 6:08 p.m. Tuesday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Nov. 18 at 9 a.m.

Howard at Western

Bianca M. Feliciano, 26, of 3116 N. Major Ave., Chicago, was arrested at Howard Street and Western Avenue at 5:17 p.m. on Oct. 21 and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Dec. 13 at 10:30 a.m.

1700 Church

Magelica M. Macon, 31, of 701 Oakton St., was arrested at 1700 Church St. at 8:32 a.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Dec. 4 at 10:30 a.m.

1013 Oakton

Michael Tobin, 56, of 1720 Golf Road, Waukegan, was arrested at 1013 Oakton St. at 9:21 p.m. Tuesday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Nov. 18 at 9 a.m.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
