Robber orders cash at restaurant on Chicago

A robber gave a restaurant cashier a note demanding money in the 900 block of Chicago Avenue. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Battery

101 Asbury

Vincent E. Johnson, address unknown, was arrested at 101 Asbury Ave. at 2:37 p.m. Friday and charged with domestic battery.

Burglary

600 Judson

Cash was taken from a 2010 Toyota in an unlocked garage of a home in the 600 block of Judson Avenue between 4 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. yesterday.

900 Maple

A cell phone was stolen from a home in the 900 block of Maple Avenue between 11:15 p,m. Saturday and 8 a.m. yesterday.

1000 Maple

A laptop computer and cash were stolen from an unlocked Honda in the 1000 block of Maple Avenue between 7:45 p.m. Saturday and 9:50 a.m. yesterday.

800 Hinman

A black flashlight was taken from a 2010 Mazda in the 800 block of Hinman Avenue between 5 p.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. yesterday.

1100 Oak

A wallet was stolen from an unlocked 2015 Nissan in the 1100 block of Oak Avenue between 2 a.m. and 10 a.m. yesterday.

1100 Maple

A speaker was taken from an unlocked 2014 Subaru in the 1100 block of Maple Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

2000 Sherman

A laptop computer, keyboard, and jewelry were stolen from an apartment in the 2000 block of Sherman Avenue between noon and 2 p.m. Friday.

1206 Hinman

Kristia R. Berg, 24, of 1458 Chicago Ave., was arrested at 1206 Hinman Ave. at 5 p.m. Thursday and charged with burglary. She is due in court on Sept. 29 at 10:30 a.m.

Criminal Damage

2000 Maple

Someone broke a window at a home in the 2000 block of Maple Avenue at 7:40 p.m. Saturday.

1800 Maple

Someone damaged an exit gate at the city parking garage in the 1800 block of Maple Avenue at 11:26 p.m. Saturday.

600 Hull

An unknown offender put something in the gasoline tank of a 2006 Buick in the 600 block of Hull Terrace between 11 p.m. Thursday and 9:52 a.m. Friday.

Criminal Trespass

1925 Wesley

Tewayne T. Kennedy, 20, of 1932 Jackson Ave., was arrested at 1925 Wesley Ave. at 6:05 a.m. Thursday and charged with criminal trespass to a residence. He is due in court on Oct. 31 at 9 a.m.

1454 Elmwood

Janet Morales, 26, of 4108 W. 25th Place, Chicago, was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 11:30 a.m. Thursday and charged with possession of a stolen credit card. She is due in court on Oct. 6 at 9 a.m.

1703 Orrington

Hazel M. Downs, 65, of 5300 35th St., Chicago, was arrested at 1703 Orrington Ave. at 2:30 p.m. yesterday and charged with public indecency. She is due in court on Oct. 4 at 9 a.m.

Robbery

900 Chicago

An offender gave the cashier a note demanding money at a restaurant in the 900 block of Chicago Avenue at 3:26 p.m. Friday. Suspect is a 6-foot-tall black male weighing 170 pounds.

Theft

200 Dodge

A bicycle was stolen from the yard of a home in the 200 block of Dodge Avenue between Friday and 7 p.m. yesterday.

600 Hinman

Cash delivered to an apartment/condo common area in the 600 block of Hinman Avenue was stolen between 1:20 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. yesterday.

1600 Sherman

A camera and a cell phone were taken from an unlocked locker at an athletic club in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue around 10 a.m. yesterday.

1600 Dodge

A cell phone left unattended at Evanston Township High School was stolen around 8 p.m. Thursday.

1700 Sherman

A laptop computer left unattended at a restaurant in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue was stolen between 11:20 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

2450 Main

Andre C. Fort-Felton, 61, of 1128 Fowler Ave., was arrested at 2450 Main St. at 1:02 p.m. Thursday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on Oct. 21 at 9 a.m.

921  Church

Tashaun Monae Ross, 18, of 5730 S. Indiana, Chicago, was arrested at 921 Church St. at 9:24 p.m. Wednesday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on Oct. 7 at 9 a.m.

1111 Chicago

Daniel Luis Scogin, 40, of 828 Seward Ave., was arrested at 1111 Chicago Ave. at 12:30 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on Oct. 12 at 9 a.m.

Traffic

Sheridan at Eastlake

Gregory L. Moore, 35, of 7915 S. Green St., Chicago, was arrested at Sheridan Road and Eastlake at 8:27 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Oct. 4 at 10:30 a.m.

7734 Sheridan

George W. Webster, 21, of 14549 S. 85th Ave., Orland Park, was arrested at 7734 N. Sheridan Road, Chicago, at 9:19 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Oct. 4 at 10:30 a.m.
