A robber punched his victim in the face about 8:48 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Dobson Street and Elmwood Avenue and stole two cell phones — a Samsung Galacy and an Apple iPhone 6S.
Burglary
1500 Dewey
Someone stole cash, documents and a purse from a car that had been left unlocked while parked on the street in the 1500 block of Dewey Avenue between midnight and 9:04 a.m. Thursday
Criminal damage
800 Sherman
Someone damaged the front door window and a porch light at a single family home in the 800 block of Sherman Avenue between 2:30 and 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Main at Chicago
Graffiti was found painted on the sidewalk at 10:35 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Main Street and Chicago Avenue.
Theft
1900 Dempster
Someone stole two bicycles from a store in the 1900 block of Dempster Street about 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
1751 W. Howard
Frederick Lee, 35, of 145 Callan Ave. in Evanston was arrested at 1751 W. Howard at 8 p.m. Thursday and charged with theft. He’s due in court at 9 a.m. on Oct. 17.

Sandeep S. Das, 41, of 1225 W. Greenleaf in Chicago, was arrested at 938 Chicago Ave. at 10:50 a.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. He’s due in court at 9 a.m. on Oct. 31.
