Robber shows gun as he steals wallet

Incident takes place in parking lot in the 2300 block of Howard Street.

An armed robber approached the driver of a vehicle in a parking lot on West Howard Street, showed that he had a gun in his waistband, and demanded the driver’s wallet. This among stories in today’s crime bulletin from Evanston police.

ROBBERY

2300 Howard

A robbery subject showed the driver of a vehicle in the parking lot in the 2300 block of Howard Street that he was toting a gun in his waistband as he demanded the man’s wallet around 10 p.m. Sunday.

BURGLARY

600 Church

A pry tool was used to force entry into an office in the 600 block of Church Street between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Friday. Items taken, if any, were not disclosed.

THEFT

1400 Ashland

A catalytic converter was removed from a 2005 Honda in the 1400 block of Ashland Avenue between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 p.m. Thursday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute an assumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
