Nothing was taken in an attempted armed robbery yesterday at 10:08 a.m. at a Marathon gas station in the 500 block of Howard Street. The suspect, described as a male black in his 30s, told an employee to “give me the money; I have a gun.” When the employee replied that she was unable to access the locked cash register, the suspect fled, police said.
Battery
1900 Sherman
Vincent A. Stewart, 38, of 12244 S. Racine Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1900 Sherman Ave. at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday and charged with domestic battery.
Criminal Damage
2137 Howard
K-Lynn M. Andruszko, 25, of 2137 Howard St., was arrested at that address at 8:06 p.m. yesterday and charged with criminal damage to property. A court date has been set for Jan. 30 at 9 a.m.
Theft
1900 Sherman
A package delivered to an apartment common area in the 1900 block of Sherman Avenue was stolen between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. yesterday.
