Central at Girard
A ring was taken from a 32-year-old Chicago woman who was waiting for a bus in front of the Chicago Transit Authority’s Central Street terminal at Girard Avenue at about 9:15 a.m. yesterday.The offender, according to the police report, was a white woman in her 30s who requested a cigarette, but settled for the ring.
Theft
300 Ridge
A black 2017 Nissan was taken from a business parking lot in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue between 6:44 p.m. and 9:39 p.m. Sunday.
Davis at Dodge
A bicycle was stolen from Davis Street and Dodge Avenue between 7:48 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. yesterday.
1800 Maple
Cash and a purse were removed from a room at the Hilton Garden Inn Chicago North Shore Hotel between 9:30 p.m. Sunday and 5:30 a.m. yesterday.
Battery
Noyes at Orrington
A victim was hit by a vehicle at Noyes Street and Orrington Avenue around 2:30 p.m. yesterday.
711 Church
Courtney D. Barrett, 32, of 1710 Orrington Ave., was arrested at 711 Church St. at 9:47 p.m. yesterday and charged with battery. She is due in court on Sept. 1 at 9 a.m.
300 Church
Daniel E. Mitchell, 61, of 2121 Dewey Ave., was arrested at 300 Church St. at 9:37 p.m. yesterday and charged with battery. He is due in court on Aug. 18 at 1:30 p.m.
Burglary
700 Clark
Cash was taken from a restaurant in the 700 block of Clark Street between 10:23 a.m. on Saturday and 3:28 p.m. yesterday.
Criminal Damage
1800 Madison
Someone forced open a garage at a home in the 1800 block of Madison Street between midnight Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday.
Graffiti
Clark at Oak
Graffiti was discovered at Clark Street and Oak Avenue at 3:16 p.m. yesterday.
Shots Heard
Simpson at Jackson
Gunshots were reported at Simpson Street and Jackson Avenue at 12:19 a.m. today. Police checked the area but found nothing.
Traffic
Pitner at Lake
Twan D. Daniels-Robinson, 31, of 1907 Dodge Ave., was arrested at Pitner Avenue and Lake Street at 9 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Sept. 28 at 9 a.m.
1122 Hartrey
John Elliott Ross, 29, of 2320 Greenwood St., was arrested at 1122 Hartrey Ave. at 5:02 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation.
