What started as a rubbish fire Saturday evening behind a townhouse complex at 163 Asbury Ave. in Evanston spread to one of the townhouse units before firefighters were able to extinguish it.

Fire Division Chief Paul Polep says the call came in about 7 p.m. and fire crews dispatched to the scene immediately called for reinforcements when they arrived.

Polep said live arcing power lines complicated efforts to fight the blaze.

No injuries were reported.
