Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky of Evanston says she’s not ruling out a possible run for the U.S. Senate in 2010 against newly installed Senator Roland Burris.

In a brief interview with the website Politico after the swearing in ceremony for Burris Thursday Schakowsky said “only time will tell” whether she will seek to replace Burris.

Schakowsky was one of several people mentioned as possible replacements for President-elect Barack Obama in the Senate before the announcement of federal charges against Gov. Rod Blagojevich for his allegedly attempts to sell the Senate seat.
