Okay, so we all know that the City of Evanston will not be picking up trash tomorrow, Thanksgiving Day, but which facilities will be open and which will be closed, you are probably asking yourself.

First, about that trash: Thursday’s trash, yard waste, and recycling collections will occur on Friday, while Friday condo recycling collections will occur on Saturday.

Now, about city facilities:

The Morton Civic Center will be closed Nov. 24 through Sunday, Nov. 27.

All Evanston Public Library locations will be closed Nov. 24.

The Chandler-Newberger Center will be closed Nov. 24 and 25.

The Evanston Ecology Center will close at 5 p.m. today, and will be closed through Nov. 27.

The Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center will be closed Nov. 24 and 25.

The Gibbs-Morrison Cultural Center will close at 5 p.m. today and will be closed through Nov. 27

The Levy Senior Center will close at 5 p.m. today and will be closed Nov. 24 and 25.

The Noyes Cultural Arts Center will close at 3 p.m. today and will be closed Nov. 24 and 25.

The Robert Crown Center will be closed on Nov. 24.

And don’t forget about the free parking at the three major city parking.garages.

Between Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Dec. 31, free parking will be provided in the Sherman Plaza, Maple Avenue, and Church Street parking garages on weekdays between 5 p.m. and midnight and all day on Saturdays. And remember, it’s always free to park in Evanston parking garages and lots on Sundays.
