One of the major concerns teachers have about returning to the classroom during the coronavirus pandemic may be resolved soon in Evanston’s two public school districts.

Evanston/Skokie District 65 and Evanston Township High School District 202 both are arranging for staff COVID shot availability at a mass vaccination event.

An administration email to District 65 employees says the district is partnering with Walgreens for the event this Sunday at Maine South High School in Park Ridge.

The one-shot Johnson and Johnson vaccine will be administered.

A District 202 spokesperson tells Evanston Now that both districts have partneried with the drugstore company, as well as coordinating the process with the City of Evanston.

ETHS teachers will return to the classroom April 14 when the school begins its’ hybrid education model. District 65 began its hybrid program last month.
