Northwestern University has reported a second staff member at the school has tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The school announced Saturday evening that the new case involves a staffer in the Office of the Registrar in Evanston.

Craig Johnson, the schools senior vice president for business and finance, said the person involved “serves in a role with limited face-to-face interaction with students or faculty.”

Johnson says the school is reaching out to others who may have had direct contact with the infected person and those people are being asked to self-isolate.

The first case, announced Friday, involved a staff member who works at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

He also urged people who may be aware of the identity of eithr of the two infected staff members to “please respect their privacy so they can focus completely on their health.”
