Design Evanston will host three bike tours and one walking tour of notable Evanston places this summer and early fall.
The places on each tour are featured in the book, “Evanston: 150 Years 150 Places” published by Design Evanston in 2013. Books, $15 cash/check only, will be available for purchase at the end of each tour.
All tours will last about 90 minutes and will be led byauthors of the book.
Bike riders must wear a helmet and are encouraged to bring a water bottle. Ride pace between stops will be “relaxed” or “casual” at a 10 to 12 mph pace.
Ride leaders will lead the group back to the start. Participants on the walking tour, co-sponsored by the Evanston History Center, will also return to the start.
Light refreshments will be provided at the end of each tour.
The cost for each bike tour is $10 per person and for the walking tour, $20 per person, payable by cash or check at the start of the tour.
Reservations are required by contacting:event@designevanston.org. Tours are limited to 20 people.
