Three new local businesses on the same downtown block held grand opening ceremonies on the same evening this week.

Alderman Don Wilson, whose 4th Ward includes the three shops, sliced the ceremonial ribbon held by his son Ben and Ben’s friend Dylan Mulvihill in front of each of the stores.

At My Panini at 1000 Davis St., they were joined by owners Ted and Carol Angelopolous and their family.

At Grateful Yoga at 1108 Davis St., they were joined by Owners Nick and Lela Beem along with Brooke Saucier from the Chamber of Commerce and Carolyn Dellutri from Downtown Evanston.

And at 1110 Davis St., FlowersFlowers owner Joanne Leiman stepped into the Tuesday evening tableaux, along with Laura Folkl of Downtown Evanston.
