A shoplifter stole alcoholic products from the Jewel-Osco grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue between 6:15 p.m. and 6:35 p.m. yesterday.

Burglary

2800 Sheridan

A burglar removed the screen from a window in an apparent attempt to enter a home in the 2800 block of Sheridan Place around 1 p.m. Thursday.

Criminal Damage

2600 Eastwood

Someone damaged a fence in the yard of a home in the 2600 block of Eastwood Avenue around 9:24 a.m. yesterday.

Graffiti

2400 Ashland

Graffiti was discovered on the sidewalk in the 2400 block of Ashland Avenue at midnight yesterday.

2200 Emerson

Graffiti was discovered on the sidewalk in the 2200 block of Emerson Street at 9:53 a.m. yesterday.

2300 Emerson

Graffiti was discovered on the sidewalk in the 2300 block of Emerson Street at 10:45 a.m. yesterday.

Other

1400 Chicago

Police received a report of a man with a gun in the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue at 5:57 a.m. yesterday. They checked the area but found no man with a gun.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
