Shoplifters active on Chicago Avenue

Alcoholic products were the target of two thefts.

The Walgreens Pharmacy and the Jewel-Osco grocery store, both on Chicago Avenue in south Evanston, were recent victims of shoplifting. These among the stories in today’s crime bulletin from Evanston police.


600 Chicago

Alcoholic products were stolen from the Walgreens Pharmacy in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue around 10:50 a.m. yesterday.

1100 Chicago

Alcoholic products were stolen from the Jewel-Osco grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute an assumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
