Evanston police say a suspect is in custody following an incident Tuesday night in which a gunshot was fired into an apartment at 135 Custer Ave.

Police say a resident of the apartment told them that someone fired one round from the second floor hallway through the front door of the apartment.

The bullet hit the living room wall, but did not strike anyone.

Police say that later that night a suspect in the shooting incident was arrested by Chicago police. He was a passenger in a vehicle police stopped at 7447 N. Clark, and allegedly was found with a gun in his possession.

Police say the suspect, who they identified as Reginald Boclair, 22, is expected to face felony gun possession charges in Chicago. Evanston police are continuing their investigation of the shooting incident.
