Excited to announce the Evanston 4th of July Association’s partnership with Evanston Present and Future for our Run for Repair event throughout July!

“Run for Repair” is a virtual marathon to raise funds for the Community Repair Fund, promote the Reparations Ambassador Program and educate communities all around on Reparations.

Reparations Ambassadors are white and non-Black people committed to taking on the burden of learning about reparations, talking to others about reparations and raising funds to repair harm done to the Black community so that it does not fall on Black people alone.

During the 4th of July parade those who signup for the Run for Repair Marathon will be able to track your miles while walking, biking, skating etc. Your group fees to participate in the parade will be comped by the Evanston 4th of July Association.

Stay tuned for additional collaboration initiatives with the 4th of July Association throughout July!
